Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Ornament
My name is Gina Falco, I own Once & Again Consignment, and last year I lost my best friend to pancreatic cancer. This year, I’m determined to raise as much money as I can to fight it.
Pancreatic cancer is difficult to diagnose – if you don’t have any symptoms, there are no cost-effective screening tests that can reliably find it in its early stages. There is no specific cause, and even when detected, pancreatic cancer survival rates are amongst the lowest compared to other types of cancer.
I’d like to give back to our community and honor those who are, or know someone who has been affected by pancreatic cancer. For the month of November, Once & Again Consignment stores will have a Christmas tree covered from top to bottom with ornaments, decorated in memory of my best friend and others affected by pancreatic cancer.
Each ornament has been handmade by a Once & Again staff member to educate our community and fight to end pancreatic cancer. My team has spent countless hours gluing ribbons and rhinestones, designing inspirational tags, and getting our store windows to look just right.
Can’t make it to our location? You can participate online and purchase one of our handmade ornaments. With the sale of each ornament, Once & Again Consignment stores will be donating to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
Together, we can support those affected by pancreatic cancer and fight to end it.
