Breast Cancer Awareness Ornament
My name is Gina Falco, I own Once & Again Consignment, and in the past, I've had scares with breast cancer – I have found a lump on my breast before. Thankfully, I went to a doctor and discovered it was nothing.
This year, I'd like to give back to our community and honor those who are, or know someone who has been affected by breast cancer.
For the month of October, Once & Again Consignment stores will have a Christmas tree covered from top to bottom with ornaments, decorated in honor of all women affected by breast cancer. Each ornament has been handmade by a Once & Again staff member to educate our community and fight to end breast cancer. My team has spent countless hours gluing ribbons and rhinestones, designing inspirational tags, and getting our store windows to look just right.
Can't make it to our location? You can participate online and purchase one of our handmade ornaments. With the sale of each ornament, Once & Again Consignment stores will be donating to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Together, we can support those affected by breast cancer and fight to end it.
I cannot stress how important it is for myself and all women to check themselves regularly. Give yourself a self-examination monthly and consider asking your doctor for a screening test. Early intervention is the best thing a woman can do to improve her chances of survival.
